I am looking for an implementation of at least a subset of the MNP protocols. The MNP protocols are normally implemented in modem firmware (ROM built into the modem). I have heard that there are implementation of MNP for MS-DOS machines that allow using parts of MNP with non-MNP modems. Does anyone know of a similiar item for the Macintosh? Ideally it would run as an init and allow a non-MNP modem to be used with any standard Macintosh terminal emulator. By the way, various levels of MNP perform error detection and correction as well as data compression. With MNP you can get error free (between the modems) modem communications at higher data transfer rates than normal.
