[comp.sys.mac] Midi for Mac?

blessing@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu (06/10/90)

I'm interested in getting into midi for the Mac. What's a good bit of hard-
ware to get? Is Apple's OK? Can I build my own adapter (any schematics
somewhere?) What about PD midi programs? Any info appreciated! Thanks!

This might be of general interest so I am posting it. I am very happy
with the apple MIDI interface (<$80 US). I am using it to connect a
Yamaha YPR-9 Keyboard to a MAC IIci and doing some personal piano
lessons tutored by ARS NOVA's Practica Musica program. Works very well.
