[comp.sys.mac] program FINALE anyone?

efstse@delta.eecs.nwu.edu (Serafim Efstratiadis) (06/11/90)

If anybody has or knows where I can find program FINALE which allows
you to write music on the Mac, please let me know.

Serafim.

Try MacConnection. They've got it for $559 right now. Other mail-order
houses should have similar prices, too. (BTW, Finale is produced by
Coda Music Systems- that might help you find it.)

Make sure you REALLY REALLY REALLY need FINALE before you plunk
down that kind of money... I have extensively used the first
release, and found it to be TERRIBLE! I've read that the update
is a major improvement, but that it still has many of the problems
of the first version. However, I will hold my flames on v1.1 (or
whatever the update is). But try it out first! Vision from
Opcode does wonderful sequencing, and it probably will have a
companion program for notation writing at some point in the
future, with a good interface, as opposed to the clumsiness of
FINALE.
