If anybody has or knows where I can find program FINALE which allows you to write music on the Mac, please let me know. Serafim.

Try MacConnection. They've got it for $559 right now. Other mail-order houses should have similar prices, too. (BTW, Finale is produced by Coda Music Systems- that might help you find it.) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ dave long dlong@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu research programmer dlong@uxh.cso.uiuc.edu computing services office AppleLink: A0377 university of illinois "Sometimes I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us" -Calvin ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Make sure you REALLY REALLY REALLY need FINALE before you plunk down that kind of money... I have extensively used the first release, and found it to be TERRIBLE! I've read that the update is a major improvement, but that it still has many of the problems of the first version. However, I will hold my flames on v1.1 (or whatever the update is). But try it out first! Vision from Opcode does wonderful sequencing, and it probably will have a companion program for notation writing at some point in the future, with a good interface, as opposed to the clumsiness of FINALE. scott.
