Your absolutley correct, In the US there is a new publishing package available on the Macintosh, FrameMaker for the Macintosh. For those of you that monitor the UNIX or NeXT world, you may already have heard of our products running on Sun and NeXT workstations. Not only is is a full featured wordprocessor, I also combines the best of page layout, Word Processing, Vector Based graphics, Equations typesetting and Book Building functionality into one package. The equations typesetting tools are much like those that you would find in such Mac applications as MathType and Expressionist. Book Building features allow users to cross reference text, Auto-number paragraphs, chapters and figures, generate indexes and Table of contents. The drawing tools included in FrameMaker are comparable to those found in MacDraw. With such tools a Bezier curves and definable arrow heads. Word Processing capabilities include a spell checker that is smart enough to cath many tyographical errors as well as be expandable well beyond the 130,000 word base dictionary. Search and replace Functionality second to none in that it supports wildcard searches, searches for paragraph types, index entries, artwork and text styles. Layout capabilities that are extremly similar to PageMaker and Quark. Additionally, FrameMaker allows you to have both portrait and landscape pages in the same document. If this sounds like I like this product. You bet - Not just because I work for Frame but because I've been in publishing for over six yaers now and this is one hot product. For our International friends, International FrameMaker will be available soon. Craig Yappert Frame Technology Corporation cby@frame.com
