I want to thank everyone who replied to my last query about "The Legend
of the USS Titanic" on the LP "Remember the Wind and Rain" by Jaime
Brockett, with a special thanks to Scott Abbot (hocda!sra), who typed in
the whole thing (460 lines worth!), which was quite a bit more than I
wanted. To those who offered to make me a tape, thank you as well. I
came across a copy in the $1.00 bin in a used record store, so I'm
satisfied with that. The cover looks familiar, so I've probably passed
over that record many times before, but ignored it as I didn't know
anything about Jaime Brockett at the time.
Here's a new request that may be a bit more difficult. There is a
traditional whaling song called "Rolling Down to Old Maui" (I have 2
recordings of it, by Stan Rogers and Jeff Warner, but that's not the
question...). A friend says she's heard a parody of it called "Coming
down with V.D.", but can't remember any more about it. Can anyone out
there help us find the parody?
Thanks
