Followup-To: Distribution: Organization: Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH Keywords: Recently I aquired an old phillips cd rom player (cm 110). These were used by apple prior to the newer apple cd players. My problom is that my Mac+ recognizes the player( i.e. I can see it on the SCSI chain), but I can not seem to mount the drive on my desk top. Thus I can not get at any of the files. I guess I need a driver to interface the drive with my mac. Can anybody help me with this problem. I tried contacting Apple, but they want me to provide them with the name of the individual I need to talk with. I have some experience in low level programing, and would love to try and write the driver myself, but I don't really know what to expect. Please E-Mail me any advice.

Maybe this answer should go in the one liners file: To get a CD-ROM driver for an arbitrary drive, contact Optical Media International at 408 395-4332 or D1490@applelink.apple.com. Well, maybe in the two liners file :-) --Brian Bechtel blob@apple.com "My opinion, not Apple's"
