Please excuse this if it is a simple question, but I cannot access the manuals, so no RTFM's, please! I have gotten a copy of Giffer for the Mac II. It seems to work correctly, with one problem. Basicly: There is 1000K on the system, and it is networked. The system file is using approx 500K, and the Finder file is using approx 400K, leaving me with only 100K to use with Giffer. This makes it very difficult to view a 188K GIF file. Questions: 1. Can I copy and alter the system (workstation, startup) disk so that the Mac I'm using acts as a Stand-alone? 2. I do not have access to Finder Install, which (I assume) could easily remove Finder from the System Folder, etc. How do I accomplish this without Finder Install? If it CANNOT be done, could someone please E-Mail me a copy of Finder in BinHex 4.0? (Please ASK before sending - only so much Mail Quota!) 3. If Finder can be removed without the installer, how? I have BOOTEDIT, ResEdit, and MacTools 7.0. Which one would be best? 4. Final question - can I even use the Mac without Finder? Thank you for your help, in advance.
