I'm using Excel 2.2a (Hopefully 3.0 soon) for student records, timetabling etc. When I edit a cell containing a date format, the date value toggles between Australian and American format. For example: Say a cell contains: 3/6/1991 3:00 PM I click in the formaula bar to edit it, change nothing, then hit enter. The cell now shows: 6/3/1991 3:00 PM A subsequent edit toggles it back again! Excel always interprets the date as American format, so if the Number format for the cell is "d mmm yy", the cell will show respectively: 6 Mar 91 and 3 Jun 91 This is driving me insane!
