[comp.sys.atari.st] arc and uudecode

Help!  I finally was able to get a copy of arc and uudecode/uuencode
however. . .
How do they work?  Arc I recved from a fellow 1040 owner and
uudecode/encode from a 520 owner.  I am able to get either the
encoded file or the uudecoded file over to my 1040.  Now what.
When I try to uudecode the disc twirls and the screen blanks then
before you know it I'm back at main menu.  Arc . . . well its
another story. 

Some one please help soon.  All these posting and so little space
left to store it.
