This seems like a simple way to get ST on your ST (so to speak). Jan Gray jsgray@watmath University of Waterloo (519) 885-5921 [NSA food: terrorist, cryptography, DES, drugs, CIA, secret, decode, foo] [CSIS food: tuna, fiberglass coffins, Mirabel, microfiche, fuddle duddle]

Results follow: -downloaded/converted the virgin Level0.{image,changes} files (would be nice if you could use canonical Mac disks, this conversion stuff is not The Right Thing) could not do the sources (no hard disk support on MacSac yet) -The boot image came up, (you know the one with all the Apple Object Oriented Developers) -Crash & Burn (this is just before the "Mac at the end of the Smalltalk balloon" image is to appears) I'm not sure of what version we were running, but I believe it was current for time we tried it (about early Nov). I have heard that a new version of MacSac has been released, (true?) if this is the case, we should try this again. We tried all the permutations of MacSac boot configurations also. 512 emulation, 512 w/ramdisk, and I think it was 984K, but same results each time. The two prerequistes for my purchase of an ST are that MacSac supports both hard drives, and that the Level1 (1Mb) image be runnable. If anyone succeeds in doing this I would *really* *appreciate* hearing about it. MacSac people (and authors, developers) are you listening? You could sell a ton of these things if you did. At least two or so to me, anyways! Dietz. -- Dieter H. Zebbedies ('dee-ter ayech 'zeb-ed-eez) Zebb-Hoff Mach.
