[comp.sys.atari.st] GEM window problem

How does one cause a GEM window to be redrawn? I am working on an
application that uses two windows. Each time either of the windows
is entered its contents are to be changed, so I want to redraw that
window. The application waits for the appropriate mouse event,
changes the mouse form (just so I know the event-handler is doing
something), and calls a routine to redraw the changed window.
Nothing happens, but the event stuff continues to work. It looks
like the screen is locked. I think my code is doing window updates
as described in the Balma/Fitler book, except that I am using TDI
Modula-2 (which I like a lot) instead of C. Can someone point me
toward a solution to this problem? Thanks in advance.
