@EDDIE.MIT.EDU:G.BRI@DEEP-THOUGHT.MIT.EDU (Brian Totty) (01/23/87)
My hard disk forgot everything last week, and it turns out I didn't backup certain programs I thought for sure that I already had on floppies (and didn't). My copy of uudecode was one of them. Could some kind soul send me C source to an Atari version of uudecode. I know there are probably 17 million different versions out, I just need one that seems to be reliable for decoding stuff from this newsgroup. I have the Alcyon and Mark Williams compilers. This also brings me to the question of backup programs. Is there a good hard disk backup program out? How about one that doesn't choke and die when it gets to a bad file (like in the old 'backup-after-the-fact', hoping to save everything you can scenario...) You can mail to me via UUCP at eddie (...!eddie!bri), or if you can get to an ARPA site at deep-thought (g.bri@deep-thought.mit.edu). Thanks for your time. --- Bri -------
