. My mouse is starting to wear out, and I was wondering if anyone has heard of alternate pointer controllers that work with the ST. A track ball would be ideal, and an optical mouse would take second place.

I have used an Atari mouse on an AT&T PC6300 with the only modification being to make an adapter to put the proper signals on the proper pins. Hence, doing the reverse, I assume it would be possible to do the same for the ST.
