I want to make a BIG program resident in memory. It's bigger than 300k, so linking it as a D.A. is out of the question. Using a RAMdisk is not desirable because then I would need 600k -- one for the ramdisk copy and one for the running one. Does anyone know a way to do a really big resident program? It will be serially reentrant, and ideally I will be able to activate the program from a shell or the desktop. Any suggestions gratefully received! Steve Hunt. PS. I think maybe a termres program and a D.A. to re-start it when needed may be plausible -- how about it? -- "University computer centers are notorious for being run by empty-headed bozos." -- Henry Spencer.
