MUNCH MUNCH MUNCH I think I speak on behalf of a lot of Atari ST users when wish to thank Simon Poole for the *excellent* communications program he wrote. Uniterm is very good, versatile and has far better terminal emulators than any commercial program I've had my hands on. Flash is back on the shelf, Uniterm (1.6f) is all I need. I even changed my bbs so it suports all sorts of VT-100 gags, now Uniterm is getting widely spread here in Holland. Well done, Simon. I also have a couple of questions: 1. Do you allow financial support, Simon? Personally I feel Uniterm is worth a few (?) of my bugs. Give me details on how to transfer the money. 2. Is there any kind of documentation available? The files I downloaded from the Atari Fileserver in Houston (UH-INFO @ UHUPVM1) only contained update reports. 3. Would it be possible to take following points in consideration when you change the current version? Being: Ask for confirmation to quit the program. I frequently hit the UNDO button trying to get to HELP en find myself back on the desktop. Show the size of the file to be uploaded in packets/blocks. This may help people to decide whether or not to continue uploading, or may be a hint to start making coffee. Ideal, ofcourse, would be an EST (estimated time of arrival) to accompany the file-size. I noticed that when sending a batch of files in Kermit, the 'packets sent' counter added all files together. Is this meant to be? These are, ofcourse, just hints and suggestions. The program is quite satisfactory 'as is'. But when you decide to improve anyway, you might as well think of these things... :) BTW: To all Dutch users of this net: ALL files are available on STennis BBS, 020 - 854900, 24 hrs/d, 300 & 1200 baud. They are uudecoded, tested and ready to be used (after un-ARCing them, ofcourse)

AAACCKKK!! I finally managed to download, uudecode and un-arc Uniterm 1.5c and now I find out that I am several releases behind, releases that contain xmodem and kermit!!! Could new releases of Uniterm be posted to the net at intervals of 3 or 4 months? By the way, what is keyedit for? Yes I have run it, but I have no documentation for it and I can find no references to the file types it will load and save (with the exception of assembler files).

I will post Uniterm 1.6g to the net today (time permitting).
It includes keyedit, and some simple files explaining what
enhancements have been done.
It also includes KERMIT!!!
