[comp.sys.atari.st] VIP Professional upgrade!

mckay@EE.ECN.PURDUE.EDU.UUCP (02/06/87)

YES! I've gotten my upgrade to VIP professional from ISD marketing. It
appears to fix all the bugs I found in VIP (mostly print formatting), runs
fine under GEM and is well worth the $19.95 upgrade charge.

NOTE: It *very* big. About 310K in fact. If you've got a 512K machine
you might not want to upgrade as you'll only have room for very small
spreadsheets.

Unlike the original text version of VIP Professional, the GEM version uses
a sparse matrix implementation which uses much less memory for spreadsheets
unless they are _really_ packed. So, it may be that some users will discover
that they can have larger spreadsheets than they had before.
