After rereading the message I just replied to, I noted a possible misconception regarding the bitter chip. Blit is a mneumonic for block bit transfer. It refers to the moving of a big chunk of graphics on one or more bitplanes to another section of the screen. An offline blitter chip would make text scrolling faster, but it wouldn't do much for the plotting unless plotting is done by copying a small section of graphics (the letter) to the spot on the screen where you want it. rodney
