Does anyone have any information or comments on Maine? I need info. on the Bar Harbor area, the ferry to Nova Scotia, inns, restaurants, canoeing outfitters, etc. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, hou2h!boobiek

They also have chapters in Jersey, so you might try your local phon book also. The AMC has a small summer resort on Mount Desert Island so they are quite knowledgable about the area. You might try contacting Pete Madeira at the Boston office. He ran the Mt. Desert Island camp for several years and still visits the area quite often. Please say hello from me if you talk to him.
