The reason *I* begin my signature with two dashes is that when representing a long dash in type, you are supposed to use two dashes. When I sign my name on paper, it looks approximately like this: ** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ******* * ** * * * ** * ** ** * ** * * * * * * ** * ** * * ** * * * * * * ** * * * * * * * * * ** ** * ** * * * * * ** * * * * * * * ** * * * * ** * * (Modulo the little line I traditionally put underneath it which is even harder to transcribe onto such a list) --Lynn :-) -------
