A few days ago, Moshe Braner <braner@batcomputer.tn.cornell.edu> told us that if we remove lines with this junk: "`^^^A@" from our DESKTOP.INF that we would not have to go the bootstrap cycle twice. I did it, and he was right. I did not have to set the time of day twice, as I had been doing for every boot. Until today. It happened again. And again. But I had not changed the DESKTOP.INF file. I checked it, did a "save desktop". Again the problem. Again I removed that junk that had been put in by the "save desktop" routine. And again the problem. I have no explanation. Do you? -- L. J.
