4 YEARS UNIX SOFTWARE, C LANGUAGE.
During past 2 years, has been responsible for the following
in Microprocessor Technique Lab: Installation and confi-
guration of new peripherals on two PDP 11/23 computer
systems, one PDP 11/44, and reconfiguration of present
system for use in research of digital signal processing
programs. Installation and configuration of new operating
systems on two PDP 11/23 computer systems for use in
research into the capabilities of the operating system.
Writing and documenting new system utility programs and
device drivers for installation on any of the UNIX-based
systems. Most programming done in C Language, the rest in
68000 assembler,and FORTRAN 77. Related duties are troub-
leshoot hardware problems, software problems, and perform
System Administration on the above computers.
Responsible for computer bus R & D to explore the use of
different computer busses in relationship to UNIX, and
determine the feasibility of building microprocessor
based 68000 machines using Multibus or Versabus, running
UNIX OS, and interface to to standard peripherals. R & D
circuits and interfaces for digital signal processors.
Performed R & D of analog and digital circuits for FSK
AND PSK detector circuits, and R & D of analog and digi-
tal circuits for speech detector circuits.
From Feb 1983 to May 1983, assigned to overseas location
to complete training of Armed Forces personnel in mainte-
nance and repair of a computer subsystem and perform
integration and test of the subsystem.
From May 1982 to Feb 1983, attended a training course at
Harris Corporation, covering operation and maintenance of
DEC PDP 11 Assembly Language, DEC PDP 11/44 computer, DEC
Floating Point Processor, TS11 Magnetic Tape Unit, TU-58
Data Cartridge Unit, RL02 Disk Drive and Controller,
Fredrick DEMOD, Fredrick Digitizer, Racal Receivers, DEC
PDP 11/23. DEC PDP 11/34, etc.
From January 1982 - May 1982, was responsible for inter-
facing an HP-64000 Microprocessor Development System to a
VAX 11/780, so that files could be transferred back and
forth. Also responsible for software verification and
writing utility programs.
From July 1981 - January 1982, was assigned to General
Comsec Group. Responsible for contract monitoring of a
COMSEC production contract, troubleshooting design prob-
lems ( found problem in dc-to-dc converter section of the
power supply), and review of the test unit hardware and
software for a 6800-based test unit.
