I decided to be brave and install GEMBOOT.PRG at home on my harddisk without trying on someone's else first :-). Results: - the folder limit seems to be at least the Nr. of folders on the harddisk + 40, what one would expect from the description of GEMBOOT.PRG. - programs that didn't work because of the 40 folder bug work now (HDSCAN12 etc.) I installed GEMBOOT on a second harddisk this morning and got the same results. It seems as if the 40 folder limit has been fixed, at least with respect to the maximum number of folders you can have on the harddisk. You still will not be able to create more than 40 folders at once, but that is probably not so hard to get around. I'll send the files to the ATARINET server straightaway so that it gets distributed as far and as quick as possible! Simon

I may have been slightly misleading in my report on GEMBOOT.PRG, according to Konrad Hahn's documentation the maximum number of folders is 300 (I downloaded it at 2:00 am, sorry!), which for obvious reason I haven't verified. I have 62 folders on the harddisk and for test purposes I created 120 folders on the ram-disk without problems (and copied something in to them!). Simon Poole K538915@CZHRZU1A.BITNET
