Hello everybody, it seems I caused a little stir when I posted the announcement of a shareware C compiler. I have gotten about 40 positive replies (so far) , all suggesting I post it or send in in to Jim Turner. I was going to do that until yesterday when I got a letter from the AUTHOR of the compiler. He stated that he had already sent an UPDATED version to Jim Turner at Imagen (comp.binaries.atari.st moderator). Since the updated version fixes a couple of bugs (unspecified in the letter) I have decided to wait a little while and see if it will be posted shortly. If it has not showed in a week or so (c'mon Jim, everyone WANTS this) then I will take it upon myself to post it in chunks so as not to overload the net. I am sending a disk to the author in order to receive the updated version myself. If my update arrives before I see the posting I will post the updated version instead. Incidentally this is a SHAREWARE program, not PD. It is evident the author has put in quite a bit of time and energy creating this product and I personally feel he should be rewarded. He does not specify an amount when asking for a contribution, but I am sure ANY amount would be appreciated. Thanks, have a good day/night. Joe Portman V.P.
