Well, I got UW working perfectly. In fact it is probably working better than Jim or most other people know because, with the right termcap, the remote windows allow fairly sophisticated software like EMACS to be run. The termcap I am using was obtained from BAMMI@CASE (who else?) some time ago. Here it is again: df|520st|Atari 520ST with small delays on slower lines:\ :bs:cd=6*\EJ:ce=6\EK:cl=6\EH\EJ:cm=6\EY%+ %+ :co#80:li#25:nd=\EC:\ :pt:sr=6\EI:up=\EA:ku=\EA:kd=\EB:kr=\EC:kl=\ED:\ :do=\EB:\ :so=2\Ep:se=2\Eq:dl=6*\EM:al=6*\EL:am: One other observation: The resize box in the upper right corner of each window allows one to oscillate between large and small window sizes (this cannot be done on the MAC). Thus one can have seven small, non-overlapping windows open and click on the resize box of one to enlarge it to full screen. When finished, one can then click on the resize box again to view all windows. Pretty slick! One small problem is that resizing with the box on the lower right usually leaves the cursor hidden - the cursor can be made visible by using the scroll bar. one note: Unfortunately, the control panel or ROCP (read only control panel) must be present if you intend to operate at any speed other than the 9600 baud Atari ST default. one remark: I have had as many as 7 windows open at the same time. franco@indiana.csnet
