Rats!!! After all the glowing praise about Gemsoft ( much of it mine) I have discovered a serious problem/incompatibility. I recently acquired Mark Williams C from a friend. (No squawking about piracy please, I am purchasing it, and the registration is being transferred to my name). I installed Ver. 1 and played with it, compiling the simple sample progs. All good. I then set about installing Ver. 2.0. No matter what I did, the MSH.PRG refused to find the PROFILE, and so was not very useful being unable to execute any programs. I called MWC to sort it out. They were helpful, and promised to send me stuff to fix this never-before seen bug. In the meantime, I set about trying to use the version 1 MSH with the version 2.0 compiler etc. This time I enterred one of the sample programs from the book, and the damn thing put little underscores at the end of all the function names for the VDI stuff, and so the linker was unable to find "graf_rubbox_". After a little work (and a few enourmous hunches, I discovered that the culprit seems to be GEMSOFT!!. I removed it from my AUTO folder, and now MSH.PRG Ver. 2.0 now works perfectly!! I was too excited about this to run anymore tests, so I logged in and composed this message to the world. At this point I am assuming that everything else with MWC-2 is perfect. I will repost if this turns out not to be the case. Konrad: Do you have any ideas?? MWC is the only program that has revealed any bugs in your program. Please ask me if you need more accurate tests done, or have any suggestions. I do like using your program, and will continue to do so, but not with MWC.
