[] I got in the smail today issue #1 of 'printf', the (new) Megamax newsletter. They say they are working on version 2.0, and will notify registers users. That upgrade will cost $20. Version 2.0 will have DRI-compatible object files and no more 32K limits. Also promised: new, faster, shell, better RCS, full MAKE, new docs. Meanwhile, upgrade to 1.1 is free. They give a long list of changes since 1.0, in the compiler, editor, shell, RCS, library... (mostly bug fixes). Send your original disks in with a suitable SASE. An example XBTIMER interrupt handler program is in this issue to show how to write an interrupt handler in C with a small AL dispatcher that sets up the right register environment for the C code. A Megamax BBS is announced "for use by registered developers". The number is (214) 696-8326. Looks like Megamax is finally waking up (due to the competition?). I have heard rumors of a new FP package in the works, but that is not mentioned in the newsletter. - Moshe Braner
