A friend of mine has a hard disk. Until recently, he was having no trouble with it. He took the system down to install GEMBOOT and HDI. When he brought the system back up, he was unable to write to or read from the disk. He was allowed to partition the disk and to format the disk. But when he clicks the icon for the Supra drive, he gets an error message that the device doesn't exist or isn't connected. In addition to this, the saved desktop (with the "C" icon) produces a desktop with all the proper colors and icons EXCEPT the "C" icon. I played around with my 520, and found the same non-survivalble "C" and "c" icons. -- dobbs@marlin.nosc.mil "An adventure is the result of bad --Lynn planning." Admiral Richard E. Byrd
