How is MicroEmacs 3.8 coming along? I've got 3.8b which hangs up (temporarily) with the old 3.7i EMACS.RC file. Are the latest binaries FTPable from somewhere (SCORE ???)? This is what happens when the PD software gets better than commercial software. I should also take this opportunity to thank the people who made MicroEmacs so great. Jack Bicer P.S: Is anyone on the ARPAnet side receiving the binary postings? Bicer.ES@Xerox.COM

MicroEmacs 3.8b, as posted in mod.sources, simply does not work on the
ST without a number of minor but serious modifications. The 'st520.c' file
was apparently never tried: it contains an error in the initialisation
of the terminal data structure which caused it not to even link successfully
on Mark Williams C (the message was meaningless to me, but the error was
definitely with st520.c, not with MWC).
After making this and other patches, I have got it to work, and use it on
a regular basis.
The patches were posted to comp.emacs, and (to cut down net traffic) I am
unwilling to post them here. I will email them to anyone who asks.
