[comp.sys.atari.st] Diskettes

Based on my experience with Disk World's "SuperStar" house brand 5.25-inch
diskettes, if I were looking for 3.5-inchers, my first thought would be to
give theirs a try. In the 5.25-inch category, I just had my first one that
wouldn't format after buying I believe 400 from them. I think this was due to
a slight "furrow" that I can see when the medium is rotated to the right
position. I have NEVER had any other trouble with all 399 others I've bought
from them, and I'm sure they will replace the bad one on request. They say
their guarantee on SuperStar diskettes is exactly the same as on BASF, which
they also sell.

Their prices on 3.5-inch diskettes are considerably lower (DS/DD $1.40,
SS/DD $1.16, minimum order of 50, $3.00 per =< 100 shipping) than anyone's
prices on any of the name brands mentioned here recently. For that matter,
their prices on name brands are pretty good, too. Incidentally, the DS/DD
5.25-inchers I have been buying are 38 cents each.

Disk World's 800 number is (800) 621-6827. I have no financial interest in
Disk World.
