<<< EAT DEM LINES!!! >>> Greetings all ya'll out there. I just finished writing my does-everything-you-might-be-able-to-think-of-but-one-thing desk accessory and have sent it off to Jim Turner. Here's the final breakdown of features: Set Variables ============= - disk verify - head seek rate - bell - key click - double click - screen colors Shows ===== - free RAM (really largest chunk, more useful I think) - date from IKBD clock Can Do ====== - coldboot - rs232 flush - set time - install printer - configure rs232 In addition it has "smart" time handling. When you first power up it asks for time and sets TOS and IKBD clocks (the default time is taken from the file descriptor). After that, on warm boots it just takes the time from the IKBD clock and sets the TOS clock. File descriptor is updated every time you set the clock by hand. It comes with documentation that I wrote at 4am this morning (I can't vouch for the literary value :-)). Let me know what you think of it. Happy Hacking!
