I bought a copy of "Holmes & Duckworth, Micronomists, Tools Volume 1" in an attempt to recover some files from a trashed partition of my hard disk. I don't recommend that you do the same. They won't. It's not that these are bad programs, just that they are outdated. They do nice graphics, they run under GEM and allow access to desk accessories, and so on. However, they only access drives A and B, with no choice for others, and the documentation says they only work with single-sided drives. The dates on the files are mid-1985, and I suppose these programs were quite nice then. Had I read the documentation, I wouldn't have bought it. However, the documentation is in a file on the disk, so you have to buy it to read it. If Misters Holmes and Duckworth have an updated version of this package, and a liberal update policy, I'd like to hear about it. -- "Network XXIII.
