[comp.sys.atari.st] GEMSTART.ASM

One of the ST magazines I read ( I think is was Atari ST user ) is crying out
for the GEMSTART assembler program which was posted months ago to start a GEM
application from the AUTO folder. Would the author (Im sorry I forgot who you
are..my memory is not very retentive just now (pressure of exams ....)) mind
terribly if I sent a copy of the source to the magazine with all the copyright
notices etc intact ? I dont think the magazine pays for the code it prints ( I
dont seem to remember anything about payment (see last set of parenthesis) but I
will check and if they do, Ill send the money to him/her.

(This is all assuming that the author doesnt get Atari ST User and doesnt live
in Britain)

I want to forestall any confusion, here... The only file *I* know of
called GEMSTART is the C runtime startup code which is the first file
in your link statement when you use Alcyon C. I wrote a new and improved
version of this shortly after I came to Atari. This file does have something
to do with GEM applications (there are binding counts, for one thing)
but not much, and certainly nothing to do with starting GEM applications
from the Auto folder.

If there is a program which does this, I would be interested to hear
about it, but I would also like to encourage a NAME CHANGE. To me,
and to a lot of Alcyon C users (this is the C with the Development Package),
GEMSTART means "Startup code for GEMDOS." What about STARTGEM?
