The following is an edited version of a message Darek Mihocka, the author of the emulator sent to me on GEnie. Any opinions, views, etc., expressed are his, and not those of myself or my employeer (Rutgers - the State University of NJ.) "The emulator has been accepted by ANALOG magazine for publication sometime later this summer...Also Neil Harris changed the agreement a little. Instead of simply sending a letter out as he said in his May 15th message (on GEnie), he made me upload the whole thing (source and documentation) to him in Sunnyvale last Friday (6/5). Cost me about $30 in phone charges, since I had to do it during the day, before he left on vacation. Then when he looked at it and gave the OK, he woudln't even forward it to ANALOG. I had to spend another $20 in Purolator costs to get it in before this week's deadline. All he offered was to put a disk in the mail and send it to them. Nice gut. Here's a company that will profit more on the sale of one extra machine, than I will mak eon this whole project. What ANALOG will pay me will just about cover all the phone and GEnie costs I've incurred over the last 6 months, trying to get things straight with ATARI. And they will sell plenty of machines because of this. ... What I'm getting to, is that althought things have been worked out, they are not as peachy and rosy as Neil is making it look like. Just last week at CES he reffered to me as a twit and a bad programmer...." Again I must emphasize that the opinions, views, etc., are those of Darek Mihocka, and not mine or those of my employeer. So, please don't send me any flames. -- -Marc L.
