HELP! After a half a year converting net software to my Lattice 'C' without 'make' or a shell, I decided to switch to Mark Williams 'C'. I finally located a store with 2.0 and bought it on July 9. My problem: The 'msh' gives me 4 bombs when it reads the profile and returns to GEM. Environment: 1040ST, add-on double sided floppy. Installation per the manual and "install". Alternatives tried: With and without ram disk; tried running 'msh' from the distribution disk. Tried commenting out resolution change portion of profile. Tried hard-substitution of "drive1" variable to "A:". Tried removing the profile all together. The only thing that's made any progress is removing the profile. When I do that, 'msh' comes up but 4-bombs on 'ls' or 'setenv' and returns to GEM. I've not seen a similar problem posted, (I'm a faithful net reader) and I've only just mailed in my warranty card so I'm posting to the net. Can someone out there tell me what I'm doing wrong or advance me the phone number for Mark Williams? Any help given will be appreciated, thank you. Sounds like you got one of the bad batches of v2.0 MWC. I did, and two of the disks were bad. The only thing you can do is to send your disks back to Mark Williams, and have them send you a fresh batch. -Rich -- /////////////////////////////////////\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ /// Richard E.
