I was wondering if someone could explain the connections between info-atari16 and other groups/lists. I read in the list-of-lists description that "there is a mirror between the ARPANET/DDN mailing list and Usenet news group comp.sys.atari.st". I have also noticed that people on Usenet seem to get the messages rather quickly while those of us who only get the Digest have to wait for them to be moderated. When I send mail to info-atari16@score.stanford.edu what happens. Where else does it go and when does it go out? I have never used Usenet so I don't really know anything about it. Info-atari16 is gatewayed to comp.sys.atari.st. When you send a message to info-atari16 it gets sent to comp.sys.atari.st by the program netnews. The reason Usenet readers get messages quicker is because once one site recieve a message for comp.sys.atari.st, it passes it on to its net neighbors. -- -Marc L.
