I pulled several .ACC files from a local store's PD collection. Upon putting any one of these on a disk and resetting (or power cycling), the screen flashes once and then the floppy is accessed. This will continue indefinitely. I find it hard to believe that ALL of these accessories are bad. (I've gotten some other .ACCs from other places with no problems.) What's going on? (The only title I can recall right now is RESETRAM.ACC.) thanx... dB hplabs!hpccc!blevins

Pick out your favorite seven DAs and hide or delete the rest and your problem will go away. -- Farrell

Thanks for the tip. I don't think that is what is happening, however. When it started happening, I created two folders on a floppy: one for tested, working accessories and one for either untested or flaky ones. I would then copy ONE of the untested .ACC files to the root and reboot, getting the flashing screen. (This with only one accessory in the root.) Does the OS check ALL FOLDERS for .ACC files? That would be a new one on me... Thanks, dB hplabs!hpccc!blevins
