Now my second point: Com'on people, how about being a little more considerate. THINK! Sending a "test", especially one that contains control characters, is not very nice. Some of those characters really screwed up my terminal. Besides why do you think we use things like uuencode? Because certain characters cause problems for the mailers and other network programs. I understand that a point was trying to be made here, and I respect that. I also understand that some characters were already omitted, and I appreciate that. (thank you :-) Just remember folks, that those non printing characters have other representations. (I have replaced the offending characters with a 4 character octal sequence found in C. The standard mnemonics like <NL> <ETX> <SOH> could also have been used.) I'm supprised the moderator didn't catch this, but maybe they didn't mess up his screen. I know some will say that I'm being picky or flaming on someone, and I appologize beforehand if I offend anyone. I just like to see (what I think is) proper etiquette used on the net. Ok, I feel better now. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Chip Roberson ARPANET: csrobe@icase.arpa 1105 London Company Way BITNET: $csrobe$wmmvs.bitnet Williamsburg, VA 23185 UUCP: ...!seismo!gmu90x!wmcs!csrobe -------------------------------------------------------------------- "No matter where you go, there you are!" --Buckaroo Bonzai
