If Atari succeeds in failing a second time by alienating its customers
through nastiness, vaporware, and user-hostile sales practices, we
should start a fund to raise a monument to those paragons of Capitalism :
Tramiel, Inc.
Who insisted that the Commodore 64 be compatible with the VIC-20?
Who disgusted their chip designers into leaving enmasse? (And later formed
Ensoniq, a VERY profitable company...)
Who got booted from Commodore?
