A few months ago, I posted a mini-review of my HippoVision Video Digitizer. I believe that I have a very early version, with quite a few bugs and wanted to compare my version with other ones out on the market. Nobody has yet replied. I can't believe that I am the only one in the world with this bit of hardware. I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to get hold of newer, more recent software for it for about a year and a half now. When I first acquired the digitizer, I contacted HippoVision, they agreed that mine was a very primitive version, and promised to send me and updated one right away. That was over 15 months ago. I pestered them for awhile (PHONE BILLS!!), then decided to give in and wait for a few months. Since then I have been unable to get thru to them. At this point, I would happily settle for the source code to the program they gave me, and add in whatever mods I feel are needed. (At this point, that is just about everything. There is no GEM support, everything is menu driven using numbers only, only 2 and 8 grey levels are supported, the resultant image is only200 by 160 pixels, does not capture the full video image (only top right two thirds). I feel the hardware is not bad, but the software is miserable. Has anybody done any work in this direction?? Does anybody know how to link in with the cartridge?? I understand all the basic concepts, but without concrete knowledge, I have very little desire to jump into this task. HELP. I welcome all comments, suggestions etc. Warren -- =-=-=-=-=-Warren Long at University of Saskatchewan, Canada-=-=-=-=- Home: 78 Carleton Dr.,Saskatoon, Sasakatchewan, S7H 3N6 Phone: (306)-955-1237 =-=-=-=-=-U-Email: ...!ihnp4!alberta!sask!long -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
