I am in search of a reliable clock to put inside of my ST. I would like one that: - is very accurate ( i don't want to have to reset it every few days ) losing a minute or two per month is ok. - has a long life time - works with the new ROMS ( i read in Current Notes that the defunct Shanner International had the only clock that worked with the new ROMS ). I understand that there are two types of clocks for the ST. 1) is a real clock that gets read everytime the system is booted. 2) is a battery backup that keeps the clock active when the system is powered off by tickling the ST's keyboard clock. What are the (dis)advantages of these two types? Does anyone have suggestions? thanks, -chip ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chip Roberson ARPANET: csrobe@icase.arpa 1105 London Company Way BITNET: $csrobe@wmmvs.bitnet Williamsburg, VA 23185 UUCP: ...!uunet!pyrdc!gmu90x!wmcs!csrobe ------------------------------------------------------------------------- *(*please note change in UUCP address ^^^^^^^^^^^ seismo is gone*)*
