Last night, I saw, touched and actually used a Mega 4 with a blitter
at our user group meeting!! It's REAL!! I held a blitter chip in my
very hand! ("Why was it in your hand and not in the machine?", I hear
you ask. It had failed and had been replaced. I hope that's not a
sign of how the blitter works (or doesn't work) all the time, but I'm
not going to panic yet.) The machine belongs to a developer who is
a member of the group. I must admit, it's a nice machine... We all
did some heavy-duty lusting after it. Cyberscape... a little "movie"
was HIGHLY impressive... fascinating to watch.
Just thought y'all might be interested... (Btw, the serial number
on it was 50. According to the owner, only 50 were delivered, too.)
