[comp.sys.atari.st] F-15 review

Yes, indeed F-15 Strike Eagle is out for the ST. I ordered a copy
through Software Discounters of America. (BTW I ordered through SDA
on CompuServe. I've done this before with good results.)

Yes, the graphics are improved. Targets, bases and enemy aircraft
look "realistic" -- no more geometric shapes. The HUD has a few
extra features (pitch, etc.) that I find worthless in a fight.
You're still better off flying it by intuition than by the dials.
It also will drop the tanks for you when they empty.

They added the Tripoli mission for real, so we all now get to fly
against Quaddafi.

I find the joystick *much* more useable than the mouse. The update
rate is not significantly improved -- where's the 68020 already?
Well, maybe we can get Microprose to produce a version for the Sun/4.....

It's still fun and as soon as I log out, it's time to kick the
tires and light the fire again!
