I have 132 column Okidata 83a (at least i think it is an 83a -- it might be an 84a -- i don't look at that often except to see what is coming out of it). Anyway, does anyone have a good printer driver for this so i can use this printer to its full extent? Also, could someone take a moment to explain how printer drivers work, in general, on the Atari ST? When you install a printer driver does it only work for the current application or does it work for everything that runs while the system has this printer driver installed? Also, this printer of mine does not have a horizontal tab (it does, however, have a vertical tab. joy!). Anyway, i need to install some sort of filter between my applications and the printer that would convert all tabs to some variable number of spaces (some number in an environment variable). Can this be done with a printer driver? Or do i have to put some hook into the OS? What about a filter program that I can run from MWC msh (micro-shell) or gulam? Any help on these issues will be greatly appreciated. -chip ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chip Roberson ARPANET: csrobe@icase.arpa 1105 London Company Way BITNET: $csrobe@wmmvs.bitnet Williamsburg, VA 23185 UUCP: ...!uunet!pyrdc!gmu90x!wmcs!csrobe ------------------------------------------------------------------------- *(*please note change in UUCP address ^^^^^^^^^^^ seismo is gone*)*
