ISEIC.EA@SIMTEL20.ARPA (Mark Rhyner) (10/19/87)
I am working on a school project (U of AZ, ECE Dept) which involves using the
cartridge port to support a graphics card. I am using OSK as the operating
system for this project.
I lost the article in which someone (Ashwin, Moshe, or Jawar?) stated how they
implemented writing to the cartridge port. I would like to follow that
implementation and support it as a "de facto" standard, i.e., clock to pin x,
AS to pin y, etc.
I am making a modification to the implementation - I believe that he was
writing to $3FFFFF. I am going to make the I/O port both read and write at
$4FFFFF or above. I want to do this to avoid a potential conflict between the
port and future memory expansion up to 4 megs. Any thoughts on this?
I would appreciate if the person in question could email the info contained in
that article to:
iseic.ea@simtel20.arpa
I need the info as quickly as possible in order to complete this portion of
the project this weekend (24-25 OCT) -- the end of the semester draws near!
I appreciate the help. Mark Rhyner
