I know this has been discussed before... I need a printer for my 1040ST. I have a very limited idea of what's available. My criterion: 1) ~300 frogskins. Cost is a big concern. 2) Near letter quality. Good enough to turn in a paper at school. 3) No characters "lost" after 3 or 4 pages are printed. (Buffer size?) 4) Speed really isn't a big deal. 5) It should be durable. 6) I don't need multiple colors. 7) It would be nice to be able to print simple bar graphs. 8) Pull tractors drive me nuts! Nobody starts printing in the middle of a page and wasting a sheet between each printing makes me mad. Push tractor feed or friction feed is a must! Single sheet feeders probably blow the 300 frogskin budget. 9) I don't want daisy wheel. Should I go 9-pin 24-pin? 10) Noise isn't a big deal - I can run it in my closet. 11) Warranty? 12) Go the mail order route? Any help would be appreciated. If you have any other criterion I should be considering let me know. Since printer selection is a well beaten path, response via mail seems most appropriate. Thanks. Walt Kurszewski ihnp4!ihlpm!walt2
