> Oh, by the way, can someone tell me how many colors maximum can the > Amiga show PER SCAN LINE in their HAM mode? Please hit 'n' if you don't want to know... As many colors as there are pixels to show them in. In low resolution that comes to 376 horizontal pixels selectable from a pallete of 4096. There are up to 484 scan lines. "HAM" stands for "Hold And Modify". Each pixel modifies the color value of the last. A limited number of *sharp* color changes may be made in each line. The number of gradual changes is limted only by available pixels to display them. In any mode the copper can be programmed to wait for a scan line/ horizontal postion and then modify the palette.
