[comp.sys.atari.st] Double-Click Software

Flash@UMass.BITNET (Rick Flashman) (11/11/87)

Hello,

I recently received the COLOR version of the Double-Click Software
Formatter, version 2.21. Is it possible for someone to send me the MONO
versions of this? What other software is available from these guys?
I used to have the Double-Click Corner Clock, but alas, it doesn't work
with the new roms, so I got rid of it. Any other stuff I should be aware
of?

[We wear two caps around this place, since we are UACE and DC]

We have a new version of the corner clock coming out real soon that:
1) Works with the new and old ROMs, and
2) Actually keeps correct time (sorry, our old one was subject to bad
   vblank timing on some computers).

New software:

DC Transfer - a background file transfer facility (works with just about
everything we tested)

DC IO - a psudeo 11 sector disk formatter (actually 5 1k sectors and 1 512 byte
sector) that works as FAST as 9 or 10 sector FAST formats.

+ version 2.3 of DC Formatter.

Look for these soon.

and [maybe one of these days] ZENITH Term and ZENITH BBS.

I have a fairly recent version of the DC Formatter and overall
it's a nice job. I *really appreciate* the ability to lay down
an MS-DOS boot sector! It makes the ST much less irritating when
I'm trying to move files around for various people.

The only thing that I find annoying about the program is that
they still muck up the screen and leave their blue desktop on
exit. If they could just retain my colors so that my colors
are restored on exit I'd be much happier. No, I don't use the
putrid Atari green desktop. I have my colors completely re-
arranged (white letters on royal blue background with dark grey
desktop).
