WALDI@DHDIHEP1.BITNET (11/24/87)
Date: 24 November 1987, 16:32:16 SET From: Roland Waldi phone (6221) 564334 WALDI at DHDIHEP1 Inst. fuer Hochenergiephysik Schroederstr. 90 D-6900 Heidelberg To: INFO-ATA at SCORE.ST The latest version of KBEXT is now available from UH-INFO at UHUPVM1 in BITNET. It is two versions of PD program + assembler source + doc. To remind you what it does: KBEXT allows installation of 5 keyboard tables instead of the usual 3. The 2 additional ones are used with ALT and SHIFT ALT. Thus you can use all 256 Atari characters from the keyboard in most programs (editors, graphic programs, dialogs etc.). If you need ALT-xxx as a control key, try ALT-CTRL-xxx. This ignores the tables, and works with most programs using ALT + some key for control purposes. The version on LISTSERV at CANADA01 is now obsolete. Enjoy, Roland Waldi P.S. Those who cannot access UHUPVM1: if you want the program, tell me a distribution place in your net where to post it. I don't know how to reach COMP.ATARI.xxx.ST or whatever newsgroups are called in other nets. To post it, I need a USER, NODE and NET, not a complicated path, which I don't know how to apply.
