[net.wanted] Wanted: Advice on a Good Wordprocessor

bjorn@dataio.UUCP (Bjorn Benson) (08/12/85)

I am looking for a GOOD wordprocessor, and I am asking for any advice
from people on the net. Here are my hopes:

-- Almost any computer (if it's small and I don't have it, I'll buy
it, if it's large I'll get access e.g. UNIX)
-- What you see is what you get
-- Rulers, many of them, ones that stay in text and automatically
reformat the text when it changes.
-- Extended character set (overstrikes, unusuals and internationals)
-- Headers, footers, title page, etc
-- Automatic footnotes and/or endnotes
-- Numbered paragraphs, also indented paragraphs (nroff macro style)
-- Table of contents and indexing capabilities
-- Multiple files

Word processors that I have used but have not been satisfied with:
	Word-11, DecWord, Vi/Nroff, and WordStar

Basically I am looking for a good word processor to write technical
and university style work on. Please send me e-mail on what word
processor you use and how it stacks up...
