[comp.sys.atari.st] ICON language for the ST.

NETWORK@FRSAC11.BITNET (01/26/88)

I have a version of ICON 6.5 for Atari ST, with the following
change (from the previous version) :

.. Co-expression are OK.
.. Arithmetic overflow is handled.
.. system() work. (depends on your shell....)
  (Most shell are not able to support system("ls")...try
  command.tos, it may work...)
  The shell is found by the SHELL environment variable.
.. Faster. (Should be better than any PC or AT at that...)
.. Usable from a shell or from the desktop.
  (An environment (ICON or PATH) variable can locate the ITRAN, ILINK &
  ICONX programs, or if not from a shell, a new switch in ICONT will
  tell where they are.)
.. Handle environment variable for ICONX settings (Like the UNIX
   (version) (getenv() works.)
.. Handle stderr redirection, just like the MSDOS version.

If you want to have it or test it, just drop me a mail.
(I will send it arc'ed and uue'coded, in several mail.)
